International Volunteering

Extended Volunteer Visits

The WHRC’s extended volunteering program offers a life-changing experience you’ll cherish forever. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Florida as you learn to care for and train wild horses, actively contribute to the center’s day-to-day operations, and forge meaningful connections with our rescued animals. Whether you’re grooming one of our beautiful horses or assisting with feeding routines, every moment offers an opportunity for growth and fulfillment. Join us and embark on a journey that combines hands-on learning, conservation efforts, and unforgettable memories.

We extend a warm welcome to volunteers and visitors from all corners of the globe, offering opportunities for short- and long-term volunteering at our center. Long-term volunteers play a crucial role in our successful wild horse rescue program, dedicating their time and efforts to the well-being of our rescued animals. Their commitment is invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for it.

Additionally, we’ve established partnerships with various international volunteering organizations to simplify trip planning and booking for those overseas. These collaborations ensure easy access to our center, allowing volunteers to focus on their meaningful contributions without logistical concerns.

For the convenience of our weekly and extended-stay volunteers, we provide pick-up and drop-off services to the Orlando International Airport, bus stations, and Brightline train station. Please note that these services are available on Mondays only, so plan your travel accordingly.

If you’re considering visiting Orlando and its famous theme parks, we kindly ask that you plan these adventures for after your stay at our center. Regrettably, we are unable to offer transportation to these destinations.

At WHRC, volunteering is more than just lending a helping hand – it’s about becoming part of a community dedicated to wild horse rescue and conservation. Be a part of something special!
